Previously available only for download, Daft Punk's Alive 2007 is an accomplishment in sound engineering, ambitious enough to make the geekiest of audiophiles pee their pants. For those less technologically inclined, the crystal-clear concert, recorded in Paris' Bercy arena, is a collection of classics, recombined with the robotic duo's trademark ingenuity. Sadly, the Parisian natives can't make it to Greenpoint tonight to fête the stateside release in person, but they've sent their best cronies — a group of cover DJs appropriately dubbed Faux Punk. David Bruno of the Slap You in Public NYC music blog also mans the decks.
