Knitting Factory Brooklyn says…

A long-running, Felix the Cat-obsessed pop-punk act from New Hampshire, the Queers add bubblegum harmonies and proto-emo lovesickness to Beach Boys-worshipping rawk. As if to compensate for the band's name and decidedly unchallenging style, backwards-baseball-cap-sporting frontman Joe King (aka Joe Queer) often espouses somewhat meat-headed mantras. Still, Clinton-era punks have a soft spot for the Queers' defiantly sophomoric attitude — their more backwards elements are, after all, too goofy to do any real damage. Try not ooh-ing and aah-ing along to anthems such as "Punk Rock Girls," "If You Only Had a Brain," and "I Can't Stop Farting" and you'll see exactly what we're saying.
