Ever since Jacob decided to throw down with the archangel Michael, rolling around in the dirt with God's holy instruments has been a poignant symbol of humanity's struggle with its better half. In Wrestling Angels, the current ISCP exhibition, three women artists (Laura Elkins, Bonnie Lucas, and Carol Peligian) take a conceptual look at the conflict within politics, the sciences, and as a ubiquitous feature of existence. Tonight, a gallery talk expounds upon their works.
