Staten Island-bred Budos Band bring their lush Afro-soul stylings to Brooklyn, all in the name of "that one." The 12-piece band draws on traditional Ethiopian music and feel-good soul; their fresh sound incorporates smooth, soaring brass and psychedelic bass grooves. Hosted by funky homegrown label Daptone Records, tonight's fundraiser also features Naomi Shelton and the Gospel Queens, as well as a bevy of DJs and some surprise guests.
