Canadian supergroup Broken Social Scene feature an ever-rotating cast of musicians (Leslie Feist was once a member), many hand-plucked from Toronto's indie underground. Part rock band, part orchestra, the collective favors swelling, baroque pop songs that are often accompanied by brass and woodwinds. Hot off a tour touting solo songs from co-founder Brendan Canning's debut album, Something for All of Us..., the band returns in full form, fleshing out its older, more classic indie orchestrations. Fellow Canucks Land of Talk open with a set of skewed rockers.
