In a time when the word "punk" brings to mind images of douchey dudes in hoodies and meaningless sloganeering, it's good to know that there are still bands out there fighting the good fight. Since Tom Gabel played his first shows in near-empty Florida laundromats, Against Me! has gone on to become one of the biggest punk bands around, while still managing to retain their anarchist cred. Now, frontman Tom Gabel returns to his solo roots with Hearts Burn, a new EP that works as both a cautionary tale and hopeful forecast of America's current political climate.
