While he may never best his early work with Eric B. on tracks like "I Know You Got Soul" and "Eric B. is President," Rakim's never been one to rest on his laurels. His solo career has come in fits and starts, but guest slots on tracks by the likes of Truth Hurts, Jay-Z, and Eminem prove that his innovative, jazzy flow hasn't aged a bit. Presumably touring to drum up excitement for his long-awaited album, The Seventh Seal, Rakim hits the Knit tonight with the Roots' Black Thought and a laundry list of supporting MCs and DJs.
