When Tim Allen can make a successful trilogy of Santa-related movies, it's a sign that uplifting, morally redeeming Christmas stories have seen better days. In this landscape of recycled sentimentality, though, Dickens' A Christmas Carol is one version of the Christmas story that's still worth believing in. A Christmas Carol has been told in many ways, and tonight, storyteller and stage-fighting expert J.T. Turner joins Patrick Stewart as one of the few daring enough to take on the story solo. With the friendly, and suitably ghostly, confines of the chapel at Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery as the setting, this one-man show promises to be anything but another Hollywoodized holiday confection.
