Yelle's timing couldn't be better, hot as she is on the heels of fellow Frenchies Justice and the Ed Banger crew. The singer, who makes her US debut tonight, got noticed recently for a genitally insulting single, a viral MySpace page, and famous friends — including producer Grand Marnier, who masterminded Yelle's mix of distorted sonics, pop hooks, and day-glo drum programming.
