Cynthia Hopkins and her melancholy band, Gloria Deluxe, celebrate their new recording of music from last year's live rockumentary production, Must Don't Whip 'Um. Hopkins' concerts are full-on spectacles, featuring video, dance, and Gloria Deluxe, a loose, postmodern musical entourage for Hopkins' alt-bluegrass/rock/musical-theatre song cycles. Along with tunes from Gloria Deluxe's new record and their in-the-works follow-up, expect a sneak preview of Hopkins' next show, The Success of Failure (or, the Failure of Success), the final entry in her Accidental Trilogy.
