Theatre company Great Small Works proves that tiny can be just as powerful as massive. For just over a week, little theatre takes over the large St. Ann's Warehouse space, with six programs showcasing close to 30 puppet pieces, film screenings, and workshops (learn to make your own toy theater!). There's even the Temporary Toy Theater Museum, where old and new puppets, miniature performance spaces, and visual techniques are on display. As the bloated, big-budget blockbusters begin their summertime lumber through the entertainment world, it's nice to see an emphasis on intricate, inexpensive craft.
