William Peter Blatty, Demons Five, Exorcists Nothing
May 30, 2008 – June 29, 2008
Daily (schedule)
The Brick Theater
575 Metropolitan Ave

The Brick's annual festival celebrates the occasionally ornery relationship between theatre and film. The centerpiece is 72-Hour Films, for which participants start writing and shooting their own movies on May 27, and screen them on May 31. Theatre highlights, meanwhile, include Bring Me the Head of John Ford, a humorous exploration of the revered director's dark side; Death at the Film Forum, a Project Runway-meets-Sundance spoof; and a reconstruction of Orson Welles' screenplay of The Magnificent Ambersons, which was originally edited and reshot without his permission. Plus, Exorcist author William Peter Blatty's Demons Five, Exorcists Nothing is given a concert reading.
