Half Hawaii is the Berlin-based duo of veteran tech-house producer Sammy Dee and blog-buzzed Seattle import Bruno Pronsato. Half Hawaii's upcoming EP, their second on the Hello?Repeat label, neatly coincides with the stateside release of Pronsato's album, Why Can't We Be Like Us, whose innovative use of negative space and low-end layering has minimal tech-heads scrambling. Hello?Repeat DJ Jan Krueger spins, as well, and MP3 label-owner, Vital Vinyl employee, and "tesh" (sexy techno) advocate JamesPatrick plays a live set. Longtime Bunker residents DJs Spinoza and Derek Plaslaiko spin the best of the minimal underground till the morning light.
