In their '80s heyday, the Violent Femmes inspired many a "Blister in the Sun" sing-a-long. Former Femmes lead singer Gordon Gano is happily returning to the stage, this time alongside Billy and Brendan Ryan — of '90s indie-rock collective the Bogmen — as GanoRyan. Sporting an alt-rock sound with unlikely tinges of punk and jam, Gordon Gano and the Ryan Brothers pay a visit to Park Slope's Bell House for a performance that remembers the past and paints a promising future.
