Since forming at the Yale School of Music a decade back, So Percusssion has been at the forefront of experimentation in the classical world, performing new works by electronic composer Paul Lansky, minimalist master Steve Reich, and jazz-and-rock guitar virtuoso Fred Frith. Tonight marks the debut of the quartet's most ambitious project to date: an original multimedia piece inspired by Italo Calvino's novel Invisible Cities. Theatrical director Rinde Eckert (And God Created Great Whales) and video artist Jenise Treutling round out the creative team.
