Ellen Allien is a city child — quite literally, that's the translation of her debut LP title, Stadtkind. Inspired by the reunification of Germany, the skilled producer, remixer, and DJ started out by picking up residencies across Berlin, along with a radio show on the city's Kiss-FM. Combining elements of experimentalism, techno, house, and minimal electro, she's now been throwing parties and making people sweat for years — a decade, in fact. Tonight, she celebrates ten years of throwing parties and putting out records with her influential label BPitch Control.
