Much like your average adolescent, the Wrens have found plenty to brood about. Formed in the late '80s, this band of New Jerseyans was stymied for over a decade by a series of label mishaps. After playing musical chairs several times, they released 2002's soaring, sad-sack masterpiece, Meadowlands. The guys have since pressed on, refusing to be one of the many major-label casualties, pleasing their listeners time and again with woebegone, bittersweet, and all-too-aware indie rock. Tonight, the Wrens are joined at the Bell House by Brooklyn psych rockers Amazing Baby.
