303 Bond Street says…

The original "origin" story is another glittery triumph for choreographer/director Austin McCormick and XIV. With the assistance of a demonic Ringmistress (Gioia Marchese), lithe Drag Queen (Davon Raney), and Lillith the temptress (Yeva Glover), the mad love of Adam and Eve is danced against a gilded Belle Époque set with music ranging from Paul Anka to Arvo Pärt, and literary cues from both the Bible and Bukowski. It is the fall of woman, not man, that is ultimately revealed — underneath the revealing costuming ("titillating" isn't in the title for nothing). Eve's loss of innocence and lyricism culminates with a sweaty, hard-bodied dance by Adam and Lillith, set to "It's a Man's Man's Man's World."
