To celebrate their sixth anniversary and raise money for the renovation of their new, larger digs in downtown Brooklyn, the folks at Issue Project Room host tonight's benefit/costume party/live performance. The event takes its inspiration from Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1973 psychedelic cinematic masterpiece The Holy Mountain, and while we're not quite sure how that will materialize, we're betting it'll be pretty damn cool. Highlights include live sets by experimental collective Elysian Fields and effects-happy atmospheric duo Mountains.
