If you've been having a hard time finding avocados lately, it's because they're probably all in service at Brooklyn's Bell House tonight. Local restaurants and a few freelancers go guac-to-guac to win your approval and the title of best recipe for the holiest of snack dips, all in honor of Cinco de Mayo. The food-forward judges include the Chili Takedown's Matt Timms and Not Eating Out in New York's Cathy Erway, but the most prestigious prize is the people's choice — so all guacamole enthusiasts are encouraged to sample the free green goods and indulge in Mexican beer specials.
