The Brooklyn Museum joins forces with the Met to present a well-chosen selection of art objects and manuscripts illuminating the Islamic mystical tradition of Sufism. The show reflects some of the immense cultural and geographic diversity of the Sufi movement, with works spanning continents and nearly a thousand years of history. This exhibition coincides with the unprecedented, city-wide Muslim Voices Festival (June 5-14), which features a pair of Sufi-music ensembles performing live at BAM on June 6.
