Q&As with Juliette Binoche follow select screenings.
French actress Juliette Binoche has built an impressively diverse resumé over the past two decades. But while she tackles traditional leading-lady roles in The English Patient (1996) and Chocolat (2000) with aplomb, it's her works with European masters Krzysztof Kieslowski and Michael Haneke that showcase her true prowess. Kieslowski's vivid portrait of loss, Blue (1993), and Haneke's psychological thrillers, Code Unknown (2000) and Cache (2005), are featured in this retrospective, along with Louis Malle's Damage (1992), in which Binoche plays a femme fatale. The centerpiece is a special preview of her latest film, Paris, which explores illness and loss with a nod to Hitchcock's voyeuristic 1954 classic, Rear Window.
