Veteran singer/songwriter Beth Orton plays a rare solo show tonight at the Bell House. She crafts folk songs with a tinge of country and sings them with a deep soul inflection. This versatility has served her well in many collaborations with such disparate artists as the Chemical Brothers, Ryan Adams, and '70s soul singer Terry Callier. Expect an eclectic set of new and old songs from her decade-plus career. Vermonter indie-folk musician Sam Amidon opens.
