“If you're curious about the artwork that's going down in Greenpoint, this is the weekend to check it out. Greenpoint Open Studios collaborates with galleries, artists and musicians to give you a sampling of some of the best art in the 'hood. Friday night GOS opens with the Glide exhibit at YES Gallery. After checking that out, head to the BLITZ! exhibit at Greenpoint Gallery with live music by People's Champs and Zebros. Saturday all day, it's open studios. Natch, you need a map, which you can download here. Saturday evening at Dandeline Wine catch the Girls & Boys exhibit and an outdoor film and light festival on Noble St. Sunday it's more open studios. There are additional events being scheduled throughout the weekend, so be sure and check out the website for updated info. See you in Greenpoint!”

Greenpoint Open Studios is a weekend long event celebrating a burgeoning art scene in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It is a collaborative effort between artists, organizations, businesses and volunteers to build a creative platform in which all members of the community can foster and contribute to a support system that encourages the sharing of ideas and relationships. As artist studios and exhibition spaces continue to emerge in the neighborhood we hope to facilitate the growth of a thriving art community.
