“El Guincho, Spanish musician Pablo Díaz-Reixa, touches down in the city for a few intimate performances— one of which happens at Cameo, among our favorite digs. With his unique blend of transporting tribal rhythms, chants, and Tropicália that has Pitchfork comparing him to Animal Collective, El Guincho brings a little hot-weather excitement where it's suddenly sorely missed. Leave it to the Last Friday series to bring us a mix of the more established El Guincho with Brooklyn's breakout band Ablehearts who scored Cinema 16's last film screening event.
