We try and give to charitable causes whenever fiscally possible, and we're definitely scrounging for some change in order to attend tonight's benefit for the Fort Greene Conservancy. For one, it's got a trampoline, and we haven't been on one in years. But combine that trampoline with the father of funk, Afrika Bambaataa, and the Daptone Family DJs spinning all soul and funk 45s and you've got a seriously enticing Dance Craze. Local eateries — including General Greene, Provisions, and Kors d'Oeurvres — provide snacks, while Blue Point, Greene Grape, and Loca Linda offer up free wine and beer. Join the dance party and support the free cultural programming offered year-round in Fort Greene Park.

Leah Taylor, Flavorpill

Note:

Enjoy a champagne reception from 7-8pm for $200, or arrive at 8pm for the dance party.
