“There's a lot of quality, mostly indie cinema included in this year's BAMcinemaFEST, but we're particularly excited for the latest feature from mumblecore greats Jay and Mark Duplass, Cyrus. It stars Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, and our perpetual crush, Catherine Keener, and even though the talent is A-list, we're expecting the same awkward, hilarious quirk we got from the Duplass' previous efforts, including The Puffy Chair. ”

BAMcinemaFEST, "New York’s leading showcase for premiere screenings of independent films" (The New Yorker), returns with the most dynamic and entertaining new films from cinema’s brightest up-and-coming talents, plus special repertory screenings, live music, outdoor screenings, filmmaker Q&As, parties, and more. This year's festival kicks off with the New York premiere of Cyrus, the hysterical, touching, and often cringe-inducing new film from Jay and Mark Duplass (The Puffy Chair, Baghead) starring Marisa Tomei, John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, and Catherine Keener, followed by an opening night party. Other highlights include an outdoor screening of SXSW Jury Award winner Tiny Furniture, two evenings presented by director Olivier Assayas (Summer Hours), a closing night screening of G.W.
