“You may not know that author Tom McCarthy serves as General Secretary in the International Necronautical Society, which through live events, media interventions, and conventional art exhibits aims to reprise the 20th century avant-garde movements of the Surrealists and Futurists. They've hacked the BBC website and placed their propaganda into its source code. And it could be said that McCarthy's work both as a writer and artist each inform the other. Joyce Carol Oates professed Remainder — about a guy who suffers trauma and spends his time obsessively reconstructing and re-enacting scenes from his past — to be an allegory for art itself. We're headed to the Brit's stop at Book Court where he reads from his latest novel, C.”
Tom McCarthy, author of 2007’s breakout Remainder, will read from and talk about his new book, interestingly titled C.
