“Brooklyn's own Art House Co-op launched the Sketchbook Project, in which staffers sent out a Moleskine notebook to anyone who signed up and asked him or her to fill it with artwork and send it back. The project has garnered almost 29,000 participants from around the world, and the notebooks are ready to go on tour. Each notebook has been given a bar code, which keeps track of the notebook's location, monitors who has checked it out, and even sends notifications to the artist each time the notebook is opened. Before the tour heads out to Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle (among other cities), it starts here. And if you've never been to the Brooklyn Art Library, now is the perfect opportunity for paper-fetishists to check out its artful digs while enjoying this noteworthy exhibit.”
