Miami, Basel and Manhattan all have an international art fair. It's about time Brooklyn gets the love it deserves. Thankfully Verge Art answers the call and presents the first ever international art fair in Brooklyn. This historic event, which coincides with the Armory Show 2011, takes place in various galleries and project spaces throughout DUMBO, a neighborhood long celebrated for its resident artists and galleries. Take this opportunity to visit artist studios and private collections, attend exclusive speaking engagements with artists, and take special guided tours and a neighborhood art walk. In addition to presenting established artists, Art Brooklyn houses a special artists' spotlight section with a juried exhibit of the best work from new artists. Stroll around for an afternoon, or for a more comprehensive experience get a VIP Passport, which grants you access to the opening night reception, free transportation to and from the Armory Show and discounts to neighborhood restaurants, coffee houses, and bars. Come out for this historic event and celebrate international art while supporting local businesses that help make it all happen. Brooklyn artists, your time has come.

Note:

The fair ends at 6:00pm on Sunday March 6.
