“The Post-It Note Diaries grew out of a reading series in which illustrator Arthur Jones drew up Post-It Note visuals for dark, thoughtful, and funny stories of youthful abandon and awkward mishaps. And Jones had strong stories to work with by a host of talented contributors including musician Andrew Bird, comedian Kristen Schaal, journalist Andrew Solomon, astrophysicist Neil Degrasse Tyson, One Story editor Hannah Tinti, and writer Starlee Kine. For the Post-It Note Diaries, Jones has garnered a selection of twenty stories from the series. This sample chapter by John Hodgman is a good place to start.
