“The Bridge Project seals its final season with a stellar pairing of Academy Award winners Kevin Spacey and Sam Mendes in Richard III. Mendes directs Spacey as the Machiavellian villain Richard III in Shakespeare’s historical drama. At the climax of the Wars of the Roses, the hunchback Richard sees his brother claim the crown of England and confides in the audience his plan to seize the throne himself. The jealous and lustful Richard navigates a cast of strong female characters as he carves his own tragic rise and fall. The Bridge Project is the international collaboration between BAM, The Old Vic, and Neal Street, which has in the past couple of seasons brought together a strong transatlantic cast, including Hollywood heavyweights, for productions of some of our favorite plays by Shakespeare and Chekhov. If you have yet to see the Bridge Project, this may be your final chance to be in on what will surely be one of the most talked about performances of the season.”
