“We first fell in love with the writing of Sarah Manguso upon reading her collection of short short stories that verged on prose poems Hard to Admit and Harder to Escape, published in a small box set by McSweeney's in 2007. In 2008, her memoir the Two Kinds of Decay was named an Editors' Choice by The New York Times Sunday Book Review. Manguso, a Brooklyn resident who maintains dual citizenship in the US and Ireland, has a new book, The Guardians, forthcoming from Farrar, Straus & Giroux and Granta Books.
