Advertising Sales Manager

Flavorpill is seeking an experienced online salesperson to sell advertising space across our network of email magazines and websites. The ideal candidate thrives in the fast-paced environment and enjoys the agility and responsibility of being a part of a small, expanding team.

    Main Responsibilities:

  • Generate revenue by identifying prospects, developing strategic plans, preparing presentations, negotiating rates and schedules, and communicating results to management.
  • Maintain and expand the advertising client base in a variety of categories such as: automotive, beauty, fashion, home furnishings, jewelry/watches, wine and spirits, travel, and luxury goods.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key advertising decision makers.
  • Reach or exceed quarterly sales quotas.
  • Represent Flavorpill at industry events to promote business, where appropriate.
  • Complete forms and process paperwork for assigned accounts.
    Core Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of online media sales or online planning / buying experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Local Sales Manager
Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Chicago
Flavorpill is seeking an experienced sales person to sell a new online product that focuses on local cultural institutions and venues. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the agility and responsibility of working independently while being part of a small, remote team.

    Main Responsibilities:

  • Secure deals with 30-40 key local cultural institutions and venues and sign them to six month contracts for our new product.
  • Complete forms and process paperwork for assigned accounts.
    Core Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of media sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication.
  • Knowledge and passion for local culture and the targeted institutions.

Intern, Technology
NYC
Flavorpill is actively seeking an intern to work in its NYC headquarters. The IT intern position will handle a variety of tasks at Flavorpill, including: PC and Mac system builds, end user technical support, internet connection troubleshooting, and support for our e-mail, web server, and phone systems.

The internship requires a commitment of two to three full days per week. Interns will receive a daily stipend; college credit is available if applicable. Music Intern, Editorial
NYC
Flavorpill is actively seeking a Music Intern to work in its NYC headquarters. This intern handles a variety of tasks within Flavorpill's music department, including fact-checking, formatting, band research, audio/video sourcing, and the coordination of listings across cities. The Music Intern also works with our editors to write fresh editorial content to be syndicated in our city guides; qualified candidates also have the opportunity to contribute to other Flavorpill cultural publications. Candidates must be detail oriented and have a flair for the written word as well as possess an open mind, a strong knowledge of music, and a wide range of musical interests. The internship requires a commitment of two full days per week. Interns receive a daily stipend; college credit is available upon request.
