Grace Chicago Curatorial Project: Making Peace & Ann Toebbe: Stained Glass

You might expect a group of artists and art administrators to meet in art school, or perhaps while commiserating over a substandard merlot at an opening. But the members of Grace Chicago Curatorial met at church, with the mission of fostering creative expression and a roster of projects focused on social justice. Their latest endeavor is Making Peace, an eight-person show including work by Emily Jacir and Christine Tarkowski. In the SOLO gallery, painter Ann Toebbe goes to church as well, investigating the interior architecture of cathedrals and places of worship.
