Decay is rarely a stunning sight, but Chicago artist Andrea Myers gives it an element of real beauty. Her continuous use of reduction and accrual with layers of paper and fiber results in a 3-D/painting hybrid that resembles peeling bark. Myers' piece Echo demonstrates a precarious balance between sculpture and painting, while Ripple, a floor installation, gives the sensation of looking into a whirlpool of swirling color. EC Brown and Paul Nudd's panoramic wall painting runs concurrently in the project space at Lisa Boyle.
