Chicago-based painter and SAIC professor Deborah Boardman focuses on the power of artists' individual studio practices, painting gouache responses to the works of others on display in the gallery. Boardman's work has always placed emphasis on process versus outcome; her installation reproduces her palette table, desk, and easel, recreating the chaotic beauty of a painter's studio. Dan Devening, Jason Dunda, Amy Vogel, and other special-guest artists' works are on view for the duration of the exhibition.
