Aired each Friday on NPR's Morning Edition and archived at the Library of Congress, the oral histories recorded by StoryCorps are personal recollections by ordinary Americans, encompassing everything from firsthand accounts of war and disaster to intimate reminiscences about daily life. StoryCorps recordings are produced in public recording booths and mobile units around the country, with a mission "to honor and celebrate one another's lives through listening."
