The Empty Bottle says…

Created in 2005 by Helsinki-based artists Tellervo Kalleinen and Oliver Kochta-Kalleinen, the choral-comedy concept Complaints Choir has quickly spread around the globe, with choirs forming in cities as far-flung as Melbourne, Budapest, and St. Petersburg (and getting over one-million views on YouTube). Each project collects local participants' biggest complaints — cell phones, celebrities, and public transportation being evergreen topics — while volunteers write lyrics and arrangements, producing city-specific performance pieces. Chicago's entrée features Jeremy Jacobsen (aka one-man band Lonesome Organist) as conductor, and is produced by local underground label Smog Veil Records.
