Though it never really hits Duck Soup levels of absurdist anarchy, A Night at the Opera still stands as a Marx Brothers classic and an icon of American comedy in general. Groucho aims some of his best zingers at the ripe targets of high society and the world of opera ("Was that a high C or vitamin D?"). You can skip out for popcorn during the forgettable music numbers; just make sure you're back for the famous stateroom scene, which is still one of the funniest bits of comedy chaos in all of film.
