Jacksonville, Florida's five-piece Black Kids have skyrocketed from unknowns to critical darlings in only a few months (and they're still unsigned!). They claim just a four-song, self-released EP to their name, but their remarkable live performances at Athens Popfest and CMJ had the entire blogosphere creaming its collective panties. Drawing comparisons to the Cure, Arcade Fire, and the Go! Team, Black Kids storm the stage with exuberant melodies, maniacal hand claps, and R&B-flavored hooks. Tonight, they rock the Bottle's end-of-year blowout with tracks off the incredible Wizard of Ahhhs. The party opens with the Walter Meego DJs and "ghost punk" courtesy of These Are Powers.
