Up and running since 1988, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind is a one-hour whirlwind performance of 30 plays, performed in an order defined by the loudest shouting member of the audience. The supershort plays, written by the ensemble members, range from serious to ludicrous. The spots shift as time moves on, with older plays giving way to newer ones, so even though the show's been running since 1988 it's never quite the same. For New Year's Eve, doors open earlier for non-alcoholic refreshments and hors d'oeuvres, and the show ends at midnight with a toast as well as their "signature pizza."
