Gene Siskel Film Center says…

This jewel-box collection of rare shorts, curated by Mike Mashon of the Library of Congress' Moving Image Section, is a decade-by-decade journey through the golden age of American cinema. The program begins with a 1928 Vitaphone reel of a vaudeville routine by Shaw and Lee and ends with one of Stanley Kubrick's first films, 1951's Day of the Fight, a 15-minute black-and-white documentary on prizefighters based on a pictorial that the legendary director shot for Look magazine.
