More Flavor: Lecture Artist's Talk: Seth Price

New York-based multimedia artist Seth Price brings ideas about media appropriation and a slew of heady, hodgepodge videos for his lecture today, organized by the Society for Contemporary Art. Price's pieces use imagery from millions of sources on the web, recombined into dazzling, multi-sensory video installations and sculpture-like constructions. His most recent exhibition, Tricks (in Cologne), featured blown-up silhouettes of people enacting banal daily routines in which the subject had been removed, emphasizing the spatial landscape. Price also makes sure that his work is economically accessible through his participation in the Continuous Project collective.
