Mix one-part punk rock with one-part spoken word, add a dash of new wave, and shake violently to get the Molotov cocktail known as Bang! Bang!. The local outfit, touring on the strength of a new album, deliver a potent, fun brand of dance rock. Singer Gretta Fine's voice, reminiscent of Debbie Harry's, can veer from syrupy coo to raw shriek in a blink, while her rapport with guitarist Jack Flash — the two lobby the band's aggressive lyrics back and forth with admirable dexterity — brings to mind a Donny and Marie for the post-punk crowd.
