Gay Witch Abortion have yet to release an album, but their imposing sound — all distorted, downtuned guitar lines, dizzying polyrhythms, and machine-gun drumwork — has already made them pretty compelling in noise-rock circles. Forgoing senseless cacophony in favor of taut melodies, sparsely whispered vocals, and a mathematically precise delivery, the Minneapolis duo — whose moniker earned them a spot on the AV Club's Worst Band Names of '07 — meld the best of Lightning Bolt's propulsive rhythms and Hella's careening free-jazz spirit. Tonight, they're joined by art-damaged experimentalists Shovelfight and caustic electro-thrashers traMADOL.
