Music: Rock/Pop People Noise w/ the Hidden Mitten and tenniscourts

Though they're the brainchild of ex-VHS or Beta founder Zeke Buck and Matt Johnson of Boom Bip, People Noise depart from electro to wholeheartedly embrace the analog, fuzzed-out sounds of shoegaze. The psychedelic, big guitars and hazy vocals on their new full-length, Ordinary Ghosts, evoke early-'90s British dream-pop acts like Ride and Slowdive, with just enough glitches to lend a wholly contemporary feel. Pixies-esque, hook-a-minute quintet the Hidden Mitten and power-pop band tenniscourts open.
