Artist collaborative New Catalogue often operates like a stock-photo agency or a design company in order to explore fictional imagery and submerged cultural narratives. Its current exhibition looks like a showroom promoting a transnational off-road rally that ends in conflict-ridden Darfur; underneath, it's a memorial to an unsung UN diplomat who was recently killed. The project melds branding with biography, exploring the question of how we package our public figures and international crises. Nearby, monochromatic prints are paired with sensational headlines from The Economist, recasting the news cycle as a color chart.
