Sandra Bernhard may be best remembered for her acidic '80s heyday as Madonna's best friend and David Letterman's favorite guest, but the outspoken diva has plenty to say about the past eight years of national mismanagement. Her jaded, angst-ridden reports from the celebrity demimonde, meanwhile, are at once outrageous and heartfelt. Tonight, the snarky provocatrix takes over the Steppenwolf stage with her band, the Rebellious Jezebels, for a one-night Halloween spectacular full of tricks and treats. Audience members are encouraged to attend in costume — given the bomb-dropping leading lady, we'd recommend a flak jacket and gas mask.
