For two Sundays this month, major thoroughfares from Logan Square to Little Village transform into easily traversable trails for cyclists, walkers, strollers, and scooters. Along the path, which connects five of the city's communities, the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation hosts activity stations for dance, exercise, and neighborhood exploration in Palmer Square, Humboldt Park, Garfield Park, Douglas Park, and Tepochcalli School. Drivers need not be confused on how to get around the city these mornings: cross streets remain open and aides are on hand to make sure parkway participants obey traffic signals.
